False Oxlip, Top End © Nigel Milbourne, 2005

This hybrid between Cowslip Primula veris and Primrose Primla vulgaris is not infrequent where the two species grow together. One of the best areas to search for it is at Top End between Flower Corner and Ubley entrance. I will add other sites in due course. There are no recent records shown on the BSBI Distribution Maps, but it is shown in the 2000 Bristol Flora. There are no mentions of it at the site in the 1912 Bristol Flora.
