Pyramidal Orchid

Pyramidal Orchid Anacamptis pyramidalis (L.) Rich.

There appears to be a welcome increase in the number of flowering spikes (>100) noted at Green Lawn with each passing year, and I've even found spikes at Long Bay, Holt Bay and Bell's Bush in recent years where I haven't noted them previously. The BSBI Distribution Maps show Pyramidal Orchid to be present in tetrad ST56A, which is backed up by a dot in square ST5160 in the Bristol Flora (2000). So, perhaps there are plants around the Butcombe Bay area that I haven't seen too?
